The Long Island Rollerblading, Travel and Sports Association, Inc. (LIRTSA) is a not for profit organization that was established in 1993. Its function is to promote the sport of in-line skating as a safe and enjoyable activity for all ages. Our members include all levels of ability from beginner to competitive skaters.
The LIRTSA volunteers provide an array of activities and events. Some of our recreational activities include leisure skates through Long Island Parks, slalom course instruction, activities for singles and families, and instructional and safety clinics. LIRTSA is proud to have the top competitors in the area of racing and free style skating among its members.
All of the club proceeds are used for providing ongoing activities, fostering the growth of the sport, and increasing the safety and awareness in the sport of in-line skating. Everything else... the donated time and effort, the growing friendships, the laughs and helping hands... are for providing a better lifestyle for our growing community of skaters.
